Certified Prosthetist
Scott’s career in the Orthotic
and Prosthetic Industry began
after he lost his leg in a
motorcycle accident in 1994.
Rather than let the loss of a
limb bring him down, Scott’s
motivation and determination
prompted him to become a
certified prosthetist. Scott is
certified by both ABC and BOC.
Scott is devoted to helping
other amputees and has been
instrumental in the development
of consultation & educational
awareness programs in numerous
communities.
Scott serves on the board of
BOC and Michigan Sports
Unlimited and is involved with
the Paralymics and Endeavor
games. Scott’s participation and
training with these
organizations gives him a good
understanding of what a disabled
athlete encounters at all levels
of competition. When Scott lost
his leg, he was unable to find
support in learning how to run
on a prostheses or train for any
type of sports. Scott travels
around the US attending training
seminars and sporting events for
disabled athletes and works very
hard to bring opportunities for
people with disabilities to the
state of Michigan.
Scott manages Michigan
Orthopedic Services Saginaw and
Midland offices.
